educational website. We've tried many of these tools out ourselves
and even use some of them on Effective Teaching Solutions.

and buttons.
Cute Colors
This is one of our
favorite graphics sites. The artist has lots of free clipart to jazz up
your website.
Graphic Garden
Here is an adorable
collection of graphics, backgrounds, and web sets.
Children's Background Sets
This artist has designed
lots of child friends background sets for websites. Browse through the
different categories. You will find everything from teddy bears to
school days.
Cottonwood School Days Sets
Here is a nice collection
of website sets designed with the teacher in mind.
Imamonkey Graphics
You will find some fun web
sets at this site.
Karren Kountry Graphics
This site has free country
graphics. You can also register as a member, pay a one time fee of
$20.00, and access all of this artists graphics. It's a steal of a deal!
Animated Graphics
At the following sites you

Add a little pizazz to

BlinkYou Animated Glitter Graphics
This site allows you to
make animated graphics that glitter! You can also make blinkies here.

You can add the free

Mini icons are great to
use as bullet points and more on websites. Download free sets.

Counters
Counters track how many
visitors click on your site.
Site Meter
Site Meter is a
comprehensive free website counter. Some counters tell you how many
visitors click on your site, but Site Meter gives you the ability to
track visitor location, pages entered and exited, how visitors locate
your site, and much more! It's an awesome tool for webmasters.
Simple Hit Counter
This is a simple counter.
You are not required to register, leave an email or password in order to
use this free counter.
Amazing Counters
This is another option for
a free counter. This site has lots of styles to choose from.

Create Free PDF Files
Would you like to share
your files with other teachers, but you would prefer to keep your
documents safe from tampering? Avoid purchasing costly software to
create pdf files, and use this free service. Simply upload your file.
They will email the new pdf file to you within minutes. Save the file to
your computer and then upload it to your website. It's that simple. We
use it all the time!

This is a "must see" site.
They offer oodles of free webtools, including free websites and web
hosting services. You can get everything from a guest map to a forum at
this site.
Create Forms
This site allows you to
create forms and gather information for free.
The Free Dictionary
This site allows you to
add a free dictionary to your site, as well as other neat tools like
"Word of the Day" and "This Day in History." You can see these tools in

Free Polls
Take a survey by adding a
free poll to your website. Gather the results and graph them as a
classroom activity.
Surf Net Kids
This site provides kid
friendly games and tools you can add to your website for free.
Tell A Friend Generator
Do you have content you
want to share? Then try out viral marketing, and allow your visitors to
tell a friend about your website. Select a style to match your site for

Have you noticed the

called favicons, and you can make one for your website too.
Search Engine and Site Map
This site allows you to create an internal
search engine and a site map. Site maps are important as they support
search engines like Google and Yahoo.
Print Button
Perhaps you created a handout you would
like to share. You can add this print button to the page to make
