Teaching Points© PowerPoint Presentations MEET OUR LITERACY TEAM Beth Hammett spent her school years in Maysville, Oklahoma. Upon completion of her bachelor's degree from the University of Oklahoma, she moved with her husband and son to Dickinson, Texas, where she completed her masters in Literature at UH-CL and is pursuing her doctorate in Developmental Education. Beth is a Texas State Middle School award winning teacher and is now an Assistant Professor of English at College of the Mainland, Texas City, Texas. She is a teacher consultant and former co-director of the Greater Houston Area Writing Project. Publications include: Natalie: Diary of a Senior Year, VOICE, Les Avenues, and Texas in English. Visit www.bethhammett.com for more information. Lisa Frase is a National Board Certified Teacher in Literacy: Early and Middle Childhood Reading and Language Arts. She has a Masters of Science in Reading from the University of Houston at Clear Lake, and a Bachelors in Speech from the University of Texas. Lisa has taught elementary school for twelve years. She is the recipient of the Texas Council Teachers of English Elementary Teacher of the Year Award (2006), and a National Writing Project Teacher-Consultant. Lisa has presented at numerous workshops and conferences. She is currently teaching second grade in Clear Creek I.S.D.
