Literature Circles
Welcome to our literature circle pages. We hope that you find everything you need to host successful literature circles in your classroom. Literature circles can begin as early as second grade and continue through elementary, intermediate, high school, and college. Literature circles help students become life long readers and celebrates the joy of reading.
This form is designed for students to fill out after literature circle meetings. Students can take turns filling out the "Minutes of the Meeting" form. The form records student participation, actions, and goals.
This is a student and teacher evaluation form. Students complete the initial evaluation then the teacher uses their self-evaluation (along with teacher discretion) to create a grade.
The Elementary Task Cards gives your literature circle group product choices for sharing their book with the rest of the class. A grading rubric is included.
The Secondary Task Cards provides students with final project choices for demonstrating their understanding and sharing their book with the rest of the class. A grading rubric is included.
Our Jumpstart Discussion Cards will help jump off your students literature circle conversations and the the book talk going. Jumpstart your students conversations by providing these literature circle discussion starters.
