Author of the Month

 

Each month we will feature a different author in our classroom and on our site. Stop by to see who is featured this month and to get links and resources to help you showcase the author in your classroom.

Featuring an Author in Your Classroom 1. Set up a small space to feature the author. Gather the author's books and place them in a basket. Make a poster with pictures and information about the author. 2. Read aloud one or more of the author's books during the month. 3. Book talk books by the author several times a week. 4. Complete an author study project, form book clubs, or complete a literature unit on one of the author's books. 5. Watch video, listen to podcasts, or look at other online media about the author and their books. 6. Watch a movie based on one of the author's books. Compare and contrast the book and movie.
